MediaLab features Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut, Logic, and other apps for graphic design and media post-production. Its resources are available to the entire Emory community. Staff assistance is provided during staffed hours.

MediaLab provides resources and technology for graphic design, video, audio, and image editing. Experienced student technology specialists assist our users with their creative endeavors.

- 18 Computer workstations with access to a variety of specialized software, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
- 6 Wacom Intous Pro tablets with grip pens.
- Other technology including headphones, Apple superdrives, and Blu ray writers. 2 TB external hard drives are available for check out at the Library Service Desk on level 2.
- Photo/Art Poster Printing: high-quality satin photo printing of posters up to 24" wide.
- This service is designed for printing photo and art posters. Presentation, conference, and larger posters should be printed at the Computing Center at Cox Hall.
- This is a walk-up self-service. Help is available during staffed hours.
- Price: $2 per sq. foot. Costs formula: price = (width x height) ÷ 72. Examples of costs:
- 24" x 36" poster: $12
- 18" x 24" poster: $6
- 11" x 17" poster: $2.60
- Payment: Emory Card with a sufficient Eagle Dollars balance. Generic print cards bought at the Library Service Desk will not work for prints exceeding $5 price.
- To use the poster printer:
- Come to MediaLab and login into any MediaLab workstation.
- Use Preview, Adobe Photoshop or other application of your choice to open your file and adjust your print source orientation and size as needed.
- When ready to print, select the Poster printer from the list, set the printing parameters, and print.
- If looking for a drop-off service, to print a larger poster, or to pay by other means, please consider Emory Document Services.
- Software Assistance: Student staff is available during the staffed hours to assist users with MediaLab software. To request a 1:1 consultation, please email SDL@emory.edu
- Workshops: To request a MediaLab-hosted workshop on using the software installed in MediaLab, please email SDL@emory.edu You can provide your own instruction or request an instructor for your workshop. Workshops can utilize two 65" wall monitors to display content from the instructor's Mac or a personal laptop and to play audio.
- LinkedIn Learning: Learn Adobe CC, Final Cut, GarageBand, Logic, Audacity, Pro Tools, video and audio production technics and best practices online. Use your Emory access to LinkedIn Learning, an ever-expanding collection of online learning content available to all Emory students, faculty, and staff. - Adobe Podcast. Web-based. Remove noise and echo from voice recordings, record and edit in a browser, fix microphone issues. Free.
- Adobe Firefly. Web-based. Generative AI tools to create text to image, generative fill, text effects and more. Free option available.
- AutoPod. A Premiere plugin for automated multi-camera editing. Save time on editing multi-camera video podcasts and interviews. Free trial, then $29/mo.
- ElevenLabs. Web-based. Generate quality spoken audio from text in a variety of voices and styles. Includes a free option.
