ATS Services

Academic Technology Services is divided into two teams; Teaching and Learning Technologies and Student Digital Life. TLT works primarily with faculty, supporting Canvas, LinkedIn Learning and instructional and video production support, while SDL is focused on student services and spaces. Teaching and Learning Technologies

Canvas

Canvas is Emory’s Learning Management System, offering a wide array of integrated tools designed to help instructors and students participate in courses, communicate, collaborate and manage assignments and grades. We offer comprehensive training and support to help faculty make the most of Canvas and related learning technologies.

Instructional Design and Support

ATS instructional design and support specialists can assist with implementing best practices in course design. This service includes training, support and 1-on-1 consultations to help instructors design courses in Canvas and design assignments around specific technologies.

Poll Everywhere

Poll Everywhere is a student engagement platform that allows instructors to create live polls and other real-time activities to make both face-to-face and online courses more dynamic and interactive.

Teaching with Video

ATS provides a variety of services to help instructors create engaging, creative and professional video resources to enhance teaching and learning. Options range from self-service video to podcasting to full production as appropriate.

ARTStor / JStor Forum

ATS staff work in concert with library to provide support for image catalog creation and management for instructors using the ARTStor and JStor Forum platforms.
