Laser Cutter Terms of Use

1. Access to TechLab laser cutters is provided to all Emory students, faculty, and staff.
2. All users must complete training before reserving or using TechLab’s laser cutters.
3. Access to TechLab’s laser cutters is only permitted during TechLab’s open hours.
4. All users must reserve time in advance to use TechLab’s laser cutters through Libcal. Same day reservations may be made with TechLab staff.
5. Users may reserve and use TechLab’s laser cutters for up to two hours per day.
6. Users must sign in and sign out for all laser cutter reservations with TechLab staff.
7. Only one person may use the laser cutter at a time.
8. Users must clean up after themselves and remove all materials from the bed at the end of their reserved time.
9. Users must stay within arm’s distance of the laser cutter while it is in operation in order to properly monitor the cut.
10. All laser cutter usage must end by 15 minutes before closing.
11. All usage must comply with Emory University’s Information Technology Conditions of Use and Emory University’s Undergraduate Code of Conduct.
